Pure Water Curacao: A Personal Journey
As the Co-founder of Pure Water Curacao, my journey towards ensuring cleaner water for our community began with a personal realization of its importance. Through activism for cleaner water in Curacao, I delved deep into understanding the significance of clean and pure water for human health.
The inception of Pure Water Curacao stemmed from a fundamental need – to provide my family with the purest drinking water while adhering to budget constraints. Witnessing my 4-year-old son’s recurring abdominal pain, which I suspected was due to fluoride content in our tap water, became a turning point in this journey.
Despite boasting about the purity of our island’s water, the truth revealed itself – our water was far from ideal, laden with contaminants and additives like fluoride and chlorine. Moving to a different part of the island magnified these issues, prompting me to take action.
Research led me to the revolutionary technology of reverse osmosis, and alongside my co-founder Christian Kießling, we embarked on a quest to find the best solution. This quest led us to a reputable company in Canada, renowned for producing top-of-the-line reverse osmosis systems.
The installation of our Pure Water system marked a significant turning point. Not only did it alleviate health concerns, but it also provided convenience and cost savings. Witnessing the transformative impact firsthand, I realized the importance of extending this solution to others.
